You should absolutely buy it if the seller will accept five $6 bills.

Devils gamers had the Cosby stamp on the hem through 86-87 season I believe.

I can add I used to own a MeiGray certified Billington jersey and it was also a size 54 player cut. So it could be good.

I'd say you're probably good to do that. Assuming there's not a bunch of adhesive behind the nameplate, it should be easy enough to strip it and add a C.

Can I please get some advice on this one? I've been looking for 1997 All-Star game jersey for awhile now, and although this one is pretty pricey and it has a name plate, is it worth it to pull the trigger. I have an offer at $399. Can the nameplate be taken off and re-customized, you think? Then add in a Captain's "C" and it is good to go. Please let me know if anyone has any advice on this. Thanks! As already said, of course it can be taken off, the cleanup will depend on the amount of glue residue. It is worth noting that you won't be able to find correct matching nameplate material (unless that's changed) so if you have it recustomized you'll have to add the name directly to the jersey sans nameplate

Hi all, I'm so glad you guys were able to reprise the Hockey Jersey forum. There is so much great information and help out there, it would've been a shame if it all went away. Thank you for setting this up! Glad you signed up! If you are in contact with anyone from the old board, let them know we're here if they are interested!!

I have heard they have a sublimation machine and can create the correct colors if they do not have them. Anyone confirm that with reference to these? EPZ, did you get it? I see now it's sold.

Yeah, I decided to go for it. The seller thinks the name plate will come off OK (he seems like he specializes in hockey jerseys, so hopefully he knows what he is talking about). It has a few other things to fix on it like sewing down the shoulder patches. The Rangers patch looks like it is placed too high on the shoulder too, but I can live with that.
I'm pretty sure the player names were sewn directly on to the jersey for the 1997 All-Star game, so if the name plate comes off decently, with a little work, I think I can get this one pretty accurate.
Thanks for the help everyone.
