Did Brilliant! make his way over? I know he was one of the resident NFL guys and could do kits. Anyone have any experience with team-issued NFL jerseys? Looking to get one, but not quite sure what size to get. Tried messaging an ebay seller and he didn't even bother replying. I'm a small guy and like 44-48 depending on the era, but football jerseys are a tad different I feel like...especially team-issued ones since the super smaller sizes are for the very tight fit. I own one (sadly fake) NFL jersey so I have nothing to compare it to. I'm looking at 2007 Reebok era. Likely QB/K fit, since I'm not sure I'd like the look of the fitted sleeves on me, even though I like the look on the jersey sitting by itself in pictures. I want something that fits well, but not too big, not too small. Can't find any size dimensions on older Reebok stuff period. This is what I'm looking at, destined to be Polamalu if I pull the trigger: www.ebay.com/itm/163728987494?_trksid=p2380057.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI163728987494.N36.S1.typeWATCH_ITEM_ENDING_SOON

I think Brilliant! is now kidpresentable. Most TI NFL jerseys are incredibly long. It would be a dress on you. The Reebok era numbered sizes are like 90s CCMs. A 48 generally has a 24” pit-to-pit measurement. 50 a 25”, etc. They taper a bit though so it’s not like a square hockey jersey. I like my jerseys loose-fitting. I’m 5’9”, 165 lbs and I wear 48s in NFL Reebok.

I’ll try to illustrate. Here is an authentic Reebok 48 on top of an ultrafil 48. It looks really small in comparison but that’s only because the sleeves of the CCM are so big. The width of the Reebok is actually wider than the width of the CCM, minus the underarm gussets. But the Reebok tapers down a bit and ends up being a thinner width overall. This is an authentic, and I know you were asking about TIs. But, I am under the impression the sizing is similar for the Reebok era. The TI quality is just higher (made in Berlin, WI, I believe).

The TI sizing is pretty different, in my (limited) experience. Like Josh says, they are usually longer. I personally don't find that to be a problem, because I can just fold it up underneath.
The width on several of my TI football are all much smaller than labeled size. For example, I just got a Bears from kidpresentable. It's a 50, but it only measures 20.5 across the body.

You know, I probably should have said that the TI sizing can be pretty different. I do have a Berlin Nike Bears that fits same as a retail, and I think kidbrilliant just sold a few Reebok Giants and Cowboys that were like that. But there are also "game cut" (or whatever you'd call them) that fit differently. I suspect OPs Steelers are more like that. I'd just ask for a width measurement before plunking down 250 bucks.

Still being stuck working from home, I'm probably already Kid Gruesome.
That Steelers is definitely leftover team stock. It's also a lineman cut so it will run tight, very long and will feel strange in the shoulders because of the extra material in there. That said, it probably is worth the money. Those have the old durene sleeves that the Steelers wore until about 1999 I think. Anything Steelers with durene is valuable. Most Steelers TBTC stuff tends to hold value over time too. A friend of mine actually bought an old 1994 TBTC version from that very seller and you don't want to know what he paid for it.

Yea, the length doesn't bother me - like furiousd said, I planned to tuck it in and fold it over if worn. Thoughts on the right size to target? I'll likely do the QB/K cut to avoid the fitted shoulders. For a normal retail jersey I'd go with the smallest size available. Some other comments here have made me nervous though about too tight of a fit in the body. Seller doesn't take returns, and hasn't responded to a question on size dimensions.

That stinks if he doesn't answer questions, because you have so many size choices. Maybe you can use the jock tag width to estimate the pictured sizes, at least.

That's a good suggestion. I'll try that if he doesn't respond after the message I just tried to send now.

Here's a good comparison of on-field and retail. The Bears is a game jersey while the Giants one underneath is a retail. The Bears is a size 50 and the Giants is a size 48.
