Regarding my new white ProPlayer, I wanted to mention that the yellowish stains on the arms came out in the laundry with extreme ease. This was a reminder of two truths about jerseys:
1. Airknit is one of the easiest fabrics in the world to clean, and
2. People who don’t wash their jerseys are exceptionally gross.

LMAO oh man there was a bowling alley that had that near me, in the 80s. One of my buds would put in $5 worth of quarters to play...I think 25 cents would buy you 600 health points or so (even if you didn't take combat damage, your total health would slowly count down...of course, food would increase your total). That one could be a lot of fun if you had 3-4 players going. That pizza place was the best as a kid. Two slices and a soda, which they would refill for you endlessly, for $2. Most of the time the owner was manning the register. When he was, your tray would come with a stack of 4 quarters to play Gauntlet (there were a couple other games there also, Tapper was one, but we didn't mess with those). If you ran out of quarters and were standing there watching your friends play, you might hear the drawer pop open and you might get more quarters to join back in. Maybe it was because we were all from the block, and our parents all ordered food there all the time. But we would sit there for hours sometimes and all we'd pay was our $2. Other times we did have money and did feed the game, so I guess maybe it evened out. Also, the owner was a former roadie for multiple rock bands. Every once in a while, you'd go in and there would be guys from Twisted Sister, Skid Row, and two times, Gene Simmons from Kiss. Have you ever played Gauntlet with Gene Simmons? I have. Years later the pizza place was closed, and the owner wound up working for UPS and got the route that included our block. That's as Staten Island a story as you can get, everyone knows everyone from somewhere. Man that owner sounds like a saint, lol. What an awesome guy! Also very cool that rock stars would just show up, have a few slices, and even play some games. What I never understood were the convenience store, pizza place, food store and gas station owners who would buy or rent arcade games (clearly with the intent of making some extra money by having people play them), and then get pissy when kids and teens would show up, "hang out" and dump quarters in to play. Real easy...if you don't want adolescents dropping in to play arcade games, then don't have them in your building! I used to go to day camp, and every now and then we'd have a sleepover weekend, which would include a trip to Kendall Park Roller Rink (we're talking late 70s-early 80s here)...they had a nice-sized arcade, so one time I didn't even bother renting skates...I just played games the entire time (we were there about 2-3 hrs or so) and had a little food. A counselor saw me near the end of the night and noticed that I wasn't wearing any skates...when he asked why I wasn't, I told him that I didn't really feel like skating and wanted to play video games instead...dude went BALLISTIC on me, heh heh. Basically told me what a waste of time and money these games were and I was there to SKATE. I wasn't a smartass back then and still had a fair amount of respect for authority, but what he said made no impact on me at all...at the time, I remember thinking "What does he care if I'm skating or playing video games?" Once he said his peace, all was fine.

Once he said his peace, all was fine. You aren’t wrong. My pizza place was fine with it. They were always incredibly slow for dine-in anyway, so it was fine. Reflecting back it kind of sounds like maybe the guy was a little TOO interested in kids hanging around, but it wasn’t that. Even when we were older teens who knew if a perv was trying to touch your junk, there was none of that. Other places, exact same experience you are describing.

Other places, exact same experience you are describing. In my hometown (Hillsborough, NJ) you had two pizzerias (Nino's and Boro's...neither is still in business) and 7-11 that featured games...later on, a new diner that opened up in the mid-80s had them too. Nino's didn't have much tolerance for gamers, even if you ate a couple of slices while you were there...one or two (short) games and they wanted you out. Boro's was quite a bit more tolerant. 7-11 didn't care how long you played for. Neither did the diner folk. I remember the Space Port Arcades in the malls back in the day (Quaker Bridge and Willowbrook had them...think Woodbridge might have too)...they were fun. One thing that kinda sucks about shopping around for old cabs is that so many gamers were smokers, and they'd leave a lit cigarette burning on the control panels...so many old machines have cigarette burns, and it's not like finding replacement parts for some machines is all that easy. Anyway, going to finally try on the new white GI Hughes jersey tonight. I am really going to miss not being able to go to games with my daughter this upcoming season. By far that was one of my favorite things to do.

Same. And I did a crap job of getting to games this year in general, mostly due to my daughter's ever expanding schedule of extracurriculars. Was planning on at least 2-3 in March, and then we know what happened there. I guess we'll stick to our other activity, going to the movies. No wait, can't do that either.

Some new ones: Jay Pandolfo 1997 white playoff set game worn. Dave Barr 1992-93 red set 1. Always really liked the Stanley Cup 100th Anniversary patch.

More pre-Edge Devils, love them. Never had a Pandolfo Jersey, I probably should.

Ken, those Whaler jerseys are so ugly and doesn’t look right in your otherwise amazing collection. You have my address, just send it to me and I’ll dispose of it for you...I’m only trying to help you out. 👍🏻

Always loved the way that the "H" in Hartford is cleverly embedded into the Whalers logo...and how it just "pops" out from the W and tail if you choose to focus on it.
I liked the later redesign too (away jerseys became primarily a very dark blue), but that green is just classic. Great stuff.
