Are you guys just sending emails to the generic info@keenerjerseys.com address? I usually just email Jason directly. Seems to work better. They told me months ago that they hardly monitor that email account anymore. I took to just calling them when I needed an answer. I completely understand that some of the personal service (like proof pics) probably had to go by the wayside as they got bigger. But it doesn't sound like their "reset" last Fall really fixed anything.

I just email or call Joe Manley directly. Much easier.

Wait, am I understanding that right? Keener doesn't want photos sent with orders? If that's the case, I'm definitely not sending them anything else. The only time I'm comfortable not sending pics is if I use a team's customizer. When did that start? It would absolutely explain the Canucks namebar issues I had. I also see that the "Our Work" page is no longer on their website. It almost feels like Keener will eventually get to not taking individual orders, or keep taking them, just reluctantly.

Started when they re-opened in March-April. They mentioned it on the Live video specifically. He was pretty strict on that.

I haven't watched their videos. What would he do if I sent my next box to him, including photos?

On their Fan Jersey Customization webpage, when you send them your order, there is a “send us a picture” button where you can drop files. I took that to mean you can send in guide photos with your order. Hope I didn’t piss them off, because I definitely sent font pictures with my order.

I think sending one or two photos with a brief description is ok to send. What they were talking about was a 5-page dissertation on which font and style to use, the history behind the jersey, sixteen photos, and the 150 little nuances as to why you want it done the way you do. If it’s a jersey they’ve done before, they know what to do. At least that’s what I got from it.
I will continue to send in a picture along with “Please customize this <color> <year> <team> jersey with #<number> <NAME>. Stacked/kiss-cut/etc. Please use <fabric> nameplate.”

Also, they said they were going to put the “our work” page back up.

OK, I don’t feel so bad now, I only sent in 1 or 2 pics with just a couple of sentences. I still think it’s better to do that than to have to send a whole jersey back via international shipping to have it redone.

I only used Keener once, it was just for a nameplate, and they took double the time they said they would. Their communication was awful, even when I was inquiring about placing the order, it was difficult to get a response at all.
The work was nice, but the bad communication combined with the fact that they are in Canada turned me off to any future orders.

Problem is how are we supposed to know what they have or haven't done? Especially with more obscure or rare items.

Plus you want to make sure they have the materials in stock.

Especially with more obscure or rare items. If they put their "Our Work" page back up, it will help you with that. That said, even though they had done plenty of the late 90's Canucks jerseys, and done well, they still did my namebar with letters far too thin. I also sent an Edge 2.0 skate jersey with photos showing how big the letters were in proportion to the numbers and they still did the name too small. I understand that they may have specs from the league for the more recent jerseys, and some of them don't match what teams put on their game jerseys, but even EPS will do what you ask for if you specify something like that.

I'll just keep sending my orders the way I always have until I'm told otherwise from the horses mouth.
I send in 2-3 lines of directions per jersey max. and send in 1-2 reference pics per jersey too unless it's standard CCM fonts. I lay it out so it's easy for any comprehension level and spend the time proofing it a few times so I'm not having to message and call with changes though sometimes I do have to contact them. When I do have to contact them mid process, I phone, it's toll free. I send my order email to Jason, Keener, Info.
Now I'm covered for pics and directions and I've had next to zero issues with invoicing/getting in the queue, and wait times. I don't mind waiting really, the most they've been late is a couple few weeks.
Funny enough, on my most recent invoice it states that the order should be complete today July 15. So we'll see what kind of extra waiting I'll do this time around.

Well I'm going to go out of my way to eat at least partial crow here. Was about to give them a call and noticed an email from Jason. Apparently the guy I set up the original order with isn't with them any longer and my order may not have been filtered through the system or set up or something.
To their credit I want to be sure to share that they stated they are going out of the way to have them ready for next week due to the mixup.
I don't mind the wait, especially under the circumstances of the world. With the communication thing resolved I'm back to having no issue; pie on my face perhaps for not calling sooner, but I just followed the communication path established for the order previously that had been super prompt. They've consistently helped me resolve any errors that may have arisen in the past, and they've been few.
